#76068, "If you have the time to read, please do..tuning/starting/idle questions inside"

My car is finally coming together nicely, the hesitation is running away like a scared little girl, mods are clicking, and everything seems to be good. Well, to start things off..today i found TWO wires barely haning on to my splice in the new coil harness i installed with the new coil i bought a while back, so i put them back together correctly and what do you know, the car seems to have more "pep". Now i still get the slightest hesitation in fourth and fifth gears, and im leaning towards my plug gap. With the car running shitily for the past months, ive had my gap at .042 and it seemed to work just fine. With the new wiring on the coil and it having its full power supply now, should i move my gap to .050 just for shits a giggles?

Next, anytime i start the car now i get a horrible idle. For instance, i turn the key, let it sit for a second then crank her over. The car immediatly drops its rpms to 100-200 and tries to die on me. If i give the car any gas for more than a second it will die. If i pop the gas every few seconds i can get the rpms above 2k and then it will idle fine. Iac issues here? I just installed a new afx 55mm tb with "newer" sensors, im leaning towards this being the culprit but your thoughts would help.

Tonight i decided to run my car throughout the full rpm range from first to third gear(as much as possible in third) and i see that my torque really kicks in around 3200 rpms. I have my gears set at 0,+4(intake obviously) and the butt dyno feels the pull big time from 4-6k. Could the cam tuning have an affect on my idle issue? The car feels very sluggish from the lower rpm ranges until 3200 or so. I just installed a greddy header/afx 55mm tb/sensors in this past week and i thought that it would give me that extra torque in the lower rpm range.

Throw ideas out to me and i will do everything i can this week. Im going in the shop midweek to install a few new gaskets/tokico blues/sportlines/coil/fuel pump/header wrap/whateverelseyouguystellmetodo. Thanks for helping and sorry for such a long post!

As for everything else, I have not a clue. emoji
