i am a new owner of a 1998 eclipse and i want to fix up the engine. I was wondering what is the first thing i should do to the engine?

Even before that...basic maintanence. How many miles are on the car? Did you get any of the car's previous mechanical history?

doin maintance first woulda been revealed if he woulda searched first.......
