Getting a perforance rebuilt kit sometime this week but a little shaky if the kit contains the new rods eagle made. Howell sells the new rods that handle 1000hp for the same price but is it incorporated in their kits too ? Need to know since last rod snapped.

A good idea would be to call those guys. They are pretty cool IMO. Also, you should look into the long-rod setup. Torque! w00t. welcome to the board and sorry to hear about the rod! What kinda HP were u pushing/mods/etc?

I would have to call in the morning as there closed. The car was basically stock so thats another thing on my mind but im going all out with performance boost so while the engine is popped i wanna get ready. If you scroll down to "my engine broke" you get to see my rod. Thanks for the quick response. I was typing up a poll on the long rod idea right when you responded. I am considering it but im having trouble getting over that its the same price. If it was trully better then I would expect to pay more. Isnt the torque only increased in low RPM? im loosing power in my highs. Another thing on my mind is when you try to order the kit is has an option for extreme rods ? WTF is this now ?

Checkout the advanced tuning section or do a search for "long rod". Also, Tim97rs has a long rod motor. You should IM/PM/email him. Its the same price probably because they make a good profit on all of them. Their cams are the same prices as well if I recall... Goodluck man!

Yes, the new 1000HP Eagle rods are included in the Howell rebuild kits.
