The shop called me and said by looking at everything,it would not line up. Some of the belt would be off the belt. Anybody ever have this problem with the belts. I have never had this problem before. I bought both gatorback belts(serpentine and alternator) and those are the ones they are trying to put on.

the shop sounds pretty incompetent, they obviously just need to sink the AFX pulley onto the crank more. it lines up, trust me

It should go on really far, until there is only a couple milimeters of gap. Unless you bought the wrong size of belts. How many ribs do they have?

turby is right. ive seen this before a couple times too...the *think* its on there, but its not quite there yet. emoji ask them what part isnt lining up. when they say "none of its lining up!" or "the UDP" (a more correct answer), reach your hand through the phone and smack them.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

I bought the belts from autozone and i forgot the numbers, but i saw them when they looked up the parts and they were right, now if they accidentally got the wrong part then i could understand. I will have to check that out.I hope everything gets fixed, i should take it somewhere else. Thanks for the help.

Did the place just put on the AFX UDP? If so it might not be on all the way. Check behind the pully with a butter knife and there shouldnt be any clearnace but for that knife.

They installed it in january so they know it is not messed up. I think some of my old belt that tore apart got caught in between the pulley and where it attached to the engine. They have not checked and are gonna check again tomorrow. I am at work now so i will not hear anything until tomorrow when i get to my house and call them. Sucks to work at night like me.
