#75427, "just rebuilt and went turbo and got some problems."

I rebuilt the engine with all the goodies. I got the motor back in, started it up with no problems. I let it idle for a while and shut it off. The next day i decided to take it down the road and no im not boosting the engine yet, i got around with no problems so i keep driving around trying to break it in. I shut off get some gas , when i went to start it back up it rotated but wouldnt start but eventually did. And it smelled like gas bad and a shit load of white smoke came out the exhaust and under the hood. so i shut if off again and check the coolant and its low. some im think ok this bitch is running rich and thermostat is probably stuck. Later that night after 27 miles on the rebuilt engine i decided to change the oil just to make sure it wasnt the head gasket. And sure enough the oil is milky but i cant really tell if its from all the assembly lube i used or if its coolant. My main question is does white smoke mean head gasket or running rich? I put a copper head gasket in its 1.6mm thick im thinking it cant be bad but maybe tighten torque down a little past spec since it so thick. One more question how in the hell do i hook up a fuel pressure guage. I got the guage but i have the slightest clue on how to install it on the cartech fmu. Thanks for the help

Well...
White 'sweat' smelling smoke is coolant....
blue smoke is oil.

White milky oil sounds like head gasket to me... but im not sure about the copper HG.

well the white smokes smells like gas. I also put the oil in a clear bottle just to see if it seperates fromthe coolant.
