#75377, "header...."

OK....I have the OBX header...Where the header and DP meet the cheap crappy gasket they sent with it blew about 2 weeks ago(it lasted a couple months)....I replaced it and just the other day one of the nuts fell off the flange causing it to open up a lil and burn away the bottom of the gasket....I know I tightened the shit outta the both bolts....I just ordered a few more gaskets from RRE but has anyone else had any problems with the header or where the header and DP meet???

you can use some stuff from napa. it's something like flow-x or something like that. it's in a little white opaque bottle. works awesome.

I have had no problems out of mine for over a year. It has locknuts on it, which seem to work fine for me. Don't use lockwashers on exhaust components. The heat will take the temper out of the steel and they'll be worthless. Use star washers and you'll be a lot happier.

Lets just say this... I'm over 100whp and soon to cross 200whp. Thanx 2GNT! Now if I could only learn to prove it.
