Does anyone know if this kits any good?
http://www.machv.com/comenrebkit.html
I'm not looking to do anything too extreme. I've had a bad oil leak for a while (thinking its at the bed plate) so I'm thinking my engines probably shit at this point. Since I'll probably have to pull the engine to get at the leak I figured I might as well just rebuild while I"m at it.

I'd apreciat any advice you could give me.

Are you installing this kit yourself or are you paying to have it put in? If you are paying to have it put in how much is it going to cost you?

I read somewhere that thos pistons have a higher silicon content and are roughly 20% stronger than stock pistons. Is that true??

I have that kit in my car. From what I can tell so far, everthing is fine. But then again, I've driven the car maybe a total of 200 feet(around the yard in Georgia, on the trailor, off the trailor, around the yard in Florida.) I gotta fix a fuel line, break her in and then I can tell ya more.

If you need new rods, don't buy the eagle ones....they do not work with press type pistons(which are the ones in the stock kit.)

If you are a 95 you gotta bite the bullet and order an extra set of main bearings.

Can't think of anything else atm.

Tony

Now I'm considering doing a 2.4 rebuild/swap. I really wish those SRT pistons cam oversized because if I do a 2.4 swap I want to go 2.6. Does anyone know of anyone who has a reasonable kit for the 2.4? Just trying to scope out all my options.
