When I ordered the Star kit, I opted in for the Vortec SFMU. But its either the wrong one or it is just bad. So I put in my stock FPR... (bare in mind 50lb injectors and upgraded fuel pump) and it runs intensly rich. I'm hooking up my good old apexi SAFC which will hopefully fix the rich problem. But what I'm curious is why would the car run so rich on a STOCK FPR? I thought of the direct port nitrous' solenoid, but I'm 100% sure it is closed, then I thought maybe it is the shitty gas that has been in the tank since October but it was Mobil midgrade, then I thought maybe it was the new ECU since I fried my other one and this one is used so it needs to learn the idle but dosnt that take only a minute? Does anyone have any answers why? I am puzzled.

If you switched from the sketchy SFMU to the stock FPR and left in the 50lbers, you're gonna run mad rich imo. Of course, the new ECU has to relearn all its short and long term fuel trims again, so that might have something to do with it, but for sure if you're running mad dog injectors on a stock FPR. LOL

lol holyshit, of course you're running rich. theres no way to control the idle and static fuel pressure with a stock FPR. put on an SFMU if you want to run those 50lbers...
btw, what mods do you have to need 50lbers??

Define wrong when you are talking about the S-FMU. You have to pick the right disc set up and set you base pressure etc... to get it running right It's not a drop in and go part you have to tune it.
You are no longer running a raising rate regulator, so there no real compensation for boost, plus you idle fuel pressure is too high. There's no adjustability in the stock fpr. The base fuel pressure is way too high on the stock regulator and the fuel trims are off, you're goingto need to pull al lot out of those injectors. Your idle is bad because you are drowning it with fuel.
Why did you take your S-AFC out in the first place?

Hooking up the SFMU, there seemed like there was a piece missing to connect to the fuel lines themselves, but i made it work damnit! (tried all of the TWO discs that came with it) Once in place it wasnt feeding enough fuel to stay at idle, not enough pressure, so i had to do something!
I got the 50lbers cheap, and will need large injectors down the road. Right now I just want the f@#$ing thing driveable.

Pulling enough fuel with the 50 pounders is going to be rough with just an S-AFC, there's a LOT of fuel to pull pout with 50lbs especially at the stock 54psi fuel pressure.
You need to get the right fittings, make sure everything is hooked up right. And do it with the S-FMU, if need be buy a kit with more discs. Figure out your fuel needs and pick the right disc.
