If you want to drop it in, the bolt battern on the trans should bolt up. Have fun making a custome engine mount.

Oh yeah and the crank trigger isn't the same design as ours so even if you fabbed it all up and got it to drop in, the ECU would be confused by the trigger signal from the crank.

So basically no it won't drop in. emoji

The 2.5L or 3.0L V-6 can be dropped in if you know what parts to borrow from an Avenger/Sebring.

But you are once again left with rewering a lot of the car.

Fine if want the answer to be yes then okay...

All you have to do is:
Fabricate a passenger side motor mount
fabricate Accessory brackets
fabricate or modify oil pan
rewire the ENTIRE car

Oh yeah but then there's still the fact that there's an extra oil passage on the block going to the head, so your 2GNT head won't bolt right up. Then you'd have to find a way around using the 2.4L which is front intake rear exhaust...

If you want a 2.4L you only have to do about half the steps above and swap in a 2.4L out of the Stratus/PT Cruiser/Caravans.

i have to change the mounts, rewire the ecu, change the fuel im sure, and why do i have to change the oil pan>?

because the factory 2.4L pans won't fit a 2gnt undercarriage.

Words are easy. Think about the magnitude of the project you're describing. Rewiring the entire car is something that can make an electrical engineer cringe, much less an enthusiast.

BTW why the heck would you want to do a 3.0 v6 swap?...the weight gained would suck, the v6 from the avengers and sebrings will NOT work with the manual 5 speed without some severe mods, due to the CpS being the main problem (Read the asog boards and see, btw the 2.5 6cyl autos are slower than the 4 cyl manual 'vengers)

About the 2.4 from the srt in our cars...its easier to do the swap out of a JA car with SRT internals...probably would cost you less and with forged internals would cost you just a tad more (like im finding out.. its prety cheap even with custom made forged pistons emoji )

Maybe those swaps would make a lil sence with a standalone sys but...if you go standalone i think you could extract an awesome amt of hp from our 4 cyl or a 2.4/2.2
