Hi i have a 1998 eclipse i have a magnaflow cat back exhust and a aem short ram intake i was wondering what i should go for next other than turbo or nos any suggestions thanks

Personally, I'm saving for a 2.2L VT Engines block and Exile Racing head before I go turbo. Always good to have a foundation for when you get boost happy, and the general consensus is that you will.
There's also weight reduction to improve your power to weight ratio, camshafts, lightened crankshaft pulleys...depends on where you wanna do and what your goals are. Figure out what you want to get out of this car, and go from there.

You could also check the staged upgrades section on the main page to see some NA mods in the order they might be done in. I would also reccomend looking at the reviews of parts to see what other have bought and what they think of them. If you don't have a UDP yet, you need one. Dollar for dollar, the most noticeable results next to power-adders imo.

If your not planning on going turbo or nos I'm assuming you probably don't want to spend all kinds of money on a new block or head. Your just looking to get what you can out the engine as it is?
The UPD (mentioned ^^^^) is a great suggestion and a great power addition. You many want to consider getting a bored TB, and porting your upper and lower intake mani's. Not huge HP gains, but it'll help. If you have another vehilce they are easy to take off and can be ported out with a dremel fairly easy. Other than that your looking at CAM gears and maybe maybe some more aggresive camshafts. You could throw a header on there as well, although there is debate as to whether they actually make the car slower or faster.

A header is useful as a piece of a comprehensive all-motor exhaust system, however the gains realized do not justify spending major green on a name brand imo. For the cost of that SS Greddy 4-1, you could more than likely pick up a Pacesetter and have it coated by Jet Hot (or you could just go to Jet Hot and buy one already done).

In regards of headers, I recommend the DC sports ceramics one. It's not as expensive as the Greddy (the DC is $290 shipped) however not as cheap as the Pacesetter. So yeah, it's in between. I thought it was an acceptable mod. The fitment was perfect. All headers would probably perform about the same on our cars but a reliable one would likely be DC.

The most noticeable thing on my car was the UDP, but when I left the A/C and P/S off aswell. As a guess, probably a 12-14 hp gain. The accessories killed it when I hooked them back up. Best price per gain IMO
The header may take a little away from low end, but will transfer it to top end, especially if you add cams later.
