Before i finally tear my motor apart to start building her up, id like to ask a few questions concerning the actual problem thats occuring.

Situation: Start car and it idles and rev's fine, no problems, no smoke, nothing is wrong. Drive the car five minutes down the road until fully warmed and a hesitation starts, it starts small as the car warms up and finally reaches a point where acceleration is difficult in all gears except for 1st. The car does not overheat, does not smoke, a/f gauge reads perfectly. Sensors replaced to date include: IAC, intake air temp sensor, map, cam angle, and the egr valve. Parts replaced to date: Battery, intake, filter, throttle body, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, spark plug wires, coil(rewired), head, head gasket, numerous seals, timing belt, water pump, cam gears(timing issue), cat was gutted, fuel pump, fuel filter, gas tank, fuel line, exhaust.

Now, parts that havent been replaced that could cause problems like this: Relays(dont know which), pistons(have new), rings(have new), crank position sensor, knock sensor, oil sending unit, tps, clutch(getting one) and the final thing is my wiring harness which im going to check over FULLY tomorrow. Does any of this ring a bell for you? What in the hell is going on with my car? I havent driven the car for over a month and im running into some problems and i wont be able to rebuild for a while. Any help you can give is apprecaited more than you think. Please help if you can give it, ive tried many simple solutions to no avail, technical help is needed this time. Thanks for your time!

Edit: The front o2 has also been replaced!

ya bro.....def. check out the harness really good..... i had almost the same prob.. and found out i had a rub tear in my ref. for the map sensor.....cut soliderd and taped... now runs fine...also....b4 u build buy a tps...... u should prolly replace it anyway the map and tps work together... if one fails it looks for the other to compensate..... so your tps could be bad... and the car isnt showing the typical symptomes of a bad tps.... so replace that....... try everything you came b4 the rebuild...cuzz you'll be pissed doing a rebuild and still haveing the same prob.. emoji (been there done that)

Replace your coolant temp sensor. Its the topmost one on the thermostat housing. It may not be working properly, and you may be dumping in too much fuel when the motor is hot.Just a thought

Well i pulled the entire wiring harness today, unwrapped everything and looked at all the wires. The only problem i saw was with the two wires that run into the coolant temp sensor plug, they were cracked and there were wires exposed. I taped everything up nice and tight then installed everything back. I lost a bolt to my battery connection, so once i get that i'll be able to crank it back up to find out if that did anything at all. Other than a bad sensor i cant seem to fathom what else could be causing my problem.

well i drove the car today, it ran ok for a while but i could still feel the hesitation once it was fully warmed. I did notice some smoke from the motor though, ever since i installed the new head ive had smoke coming from the rear of the motor near the firewall. I guess i could have a warped head, i didnt take it to a machine shop before i installed it. What do you think?
