k guys check this out.......today i ran to SD and back... one the way down the car ran fine..... no probz at all.... on the way back...well lets start here....... . i got out of frys and went to start up my car.... when....lots of cranking... no turn over.....pumped the pedal a lil and flored it upon start up...... car started but was very jumpy..ie:pedal flored and stays there..... car revs to 4k (thats it) then the rpms drop to about 200 then back up...then 500 then back up.... (wtf)finally after doing this several times it smoothes out however im having to power brake the damn thing and keep the rpms above 1.5k to keep it going.... fuck it i deside to take off anyway (about 45mins from my house) on the FW im getting mass surging(no its not the egr)now when i left frys i had ahalf a tank of gas..... now... im damn near empty.....only 37 miles..... i know thats not rite....i notice that my A/F gauge reads rich constantly also...the whole way.... whether i had WOT , cuirsing speeds...or no throttle at all...id do idle but hey its not going to...not codes present except (idle speed not reached)*generic code*i get it in my drive way... an it instantly dies..... help me out fellas b4 i go start tearring everything apart...

If it's stuck rich, check the O2 sensor. if it's cutting at ~4K RPM, check the MAP sensor.

What Dino said. Nothing fixes problems faster than a voltmeter and a chiltons.

If those dont work, maybe check your intake for small animals or something. You have a MSD DIS ignition? Or just a MSD coilpack? If its a DIS, could try bypassing that.

Your gauge IS showing it..its stuck on rich..It is supposed to be cycling back and forth when normal driving. The only time its supposed to stay on rich is under wide open throttle

checked and cleaned the o2........works better now..... just studders when ac is on.....whomp on it from a stop w/ ac... and the car dies...
the main cause of the studdering b4 (imo) was loose vac connections... (re-lined my whole vac system)
