Ok, a month of downtime and a liar for a salesman(almost bought a car) has brought me to this point, im going to build a motor from semi scratch and throw it in the car. I have a spare block, and i will be using the head on the car now. Im going to order the stock bottom end rebuild kit from howell for 350, whic includes all gaskets, oil pump, bearings, pistons, rimgs etc. Im going to have my head pressure tested, and make sure its surface is flat. Im going to have the block bored .020 over and have it dipped/cleaned. Im going to be installing a new clutch/throwout bearing. Now, do we have a knock sensor? Do i have to have my current crank machined? Am i missing anything here? I know i need all kinds of sealants for the block, what exactly do i need to buy? Im buying an mls headgasket, felpro head bolts, new rear main seal, and probably a few other things. What am i missing and what can you add?

i just got done rebuilding my engine....ive been driving it for about 100 miles and its been running fine...its back in the garage for the turbo install.... anyways, i bought a neon engine from a junkyard and used the block...i actually just used stock bore...the engine only had 25k miles on it....i didnt touch my crank or even have my engine dipped or cleaned...i cleaned it myself and honed my cylindars my self....i cleaned everything, checked all my clearances, installed bearings, installed crankshaft, installed everything else.... let me know if you have any other questions...i forgot what you asked again.... its all fresh in my head so email me if you have any questions
