What would make the coolent spew out of the overflow tank? My damn headgasket better not be blown again.

hey dude i have the same darn problem it overflows into the tank and then slowly the car overheats the solution i have but it is only temp was that i removed the thermostat (it still overflows but not as much) and it let the coolant flow easlier but i think its my waterpump the is going bad but if it keeps overflowing you lose coolant level and the bearings on your water pump need flow all the time and over time the bears will go bad well at least thats what i think with out the pump working the water circultes due to temp which causes pressure on the raditator cap and it will release that pressure and thats why the coolant goes into the overflow but if you find the answer please let me know

I think you were right on mentioning the radiator cap. kinda sounds like it's getting stuck in one position or the other to me.
