you have an adjustable regulator? check the idle pressure.

also, our cars run rich stock...so take that into account too.

reset the ecu? did that help? any cel's?

if you cleared the cat and you're stock, yes....you'll smell a nicer exaust, lol. probly not gas though, just emissions in general. my exhasut smells perty emoji vapor trail imo

bad 02 yea maybe, is your car at operating temp when you checked that a/f reading? hesitation is pretty common when you're rich as all hell. have you done anything to your car recently? might just be the upstream 02 sensor like you said

Bad fuel pressure regulator, o2 sensor, coolant temp sensor, ecu problem, injector/s stuck open, weak fuel pump (probably not, but may be)...that's all i can think of bro. My fpr is still fuxored cuz my car runs and drives so i just don't fuck with it LOL

you guys are missing one more thing that typically never is the one problem but adds to all the rest.....EGR block off. The ECU is trimmed to run rich when the EGR is opened. The ECU has no way of telling the EGU is removed. the fact that it has a code is irrelevant. This is the reason i dont support the EGR mod...doesnt help you at all. If you worried about a dirty intake then clean it often. Only way that mod helps is to reflash the ECU.

Good point, but we can't reflash the ECU for one emoji Secondly that only occurs when the ECU tells the EGR to open. So if it's a consistant rich state then it's not the egr clause. And EGR only opens during idle or steady rpm driving.

the hesitation happens throughout the rpms range, not when at a steady speed. My fpr is new, satan replaced it the last time i was at the dealership..at least it looks new, and i just replaced the coolant temp sensor.

pull each spark plug out and see if any of them are wet with gas. if any of them are wet, you know you have a stuck open injector which is washing your cyliners.

Thats some good info....my #1 sparkplug wet a little while back and I always cleaned the plug. I just chalked it up the usual oil leaking in to the combustion chamber that comes along with valve gasket leak. Im curious, could it be possible if an Injector is stuck open, would that cause the motor to start running more lean that it needs to???

also in reference to

If the EGR is stuck open for what ever reason and ECU tells the motor to run rich, therefore spitting out more fuel, and you have a faulty injector that is stuck open and again spiting out more fuel than it needs to, couldn't this combination (in theory anyway) cause detonation out of sync screw up your pistons???

god, i did notice a wet plug the last time i removed them, i think it was number four. Will i have to change out my injectors..i recently bought them with 38000 miles on them, i figured they would last forever. I will check again as soon as i have the chance..thanks for the good info.
