I filed my taxes early n i got a refund n i got it back yesterday. $250 (refund) + 400 ( i have ) = mods for my dsm hehe. I have 650$ disposable for my car n im tryin to figure out what i should do. I have CAI, Cat-Back Exhaust, No Cat, 4-1 Header...what comes next? This is the tuning guide on dsmtuners, next each mod is my response:

Air Intake- have CAI
Cat-back Exhaust- have it
High Flow Cat- have it
Exhaust Header- have it, 4-1
Bored-out Throttle Body-Friend owns machine shop (this is not included in what I want to spend.)
Ported Intake Manifold- Friend owns machine shop (this is not included in what I want to spend.)
Camshafts and Cam Gears-???
Underdrive Pulleys- not sure if I want to do because of prob's reported on the main bearing rod
Cylinder Head Porting- Friend owns machine shop (this is not included in what I want to spend.)
Air/Fuel Controller-maybe an apex’i S-AFC II, will it be needed?
Ignition Timing Controller-???

My question was what else other than these things can i do? I was going to do some light bowl work, but that would be include in the cylinder head porting, deck the head, but that would also be covered in the head porting.....Maybe lifters, rockers, titanium valve springs (but the car still needs to be a daily driver. What else?? lol please help….also what gains would I get?

GET THE UDP. There is nothing wrong with it. The majority of people at DSMtoonerz are dipshits who don't know what they're doing anyways when it comes to these cars. UDP is the most noticeable mods you can do NA. After that, I would say maybe cams. Especially if you're not looking for headwork just yet. Maybe some Crower 2s or Crane 16s.

UDP,MP throttle body w/ port match intake manifold, motor mount inserts are good mods. What about suspension? Shocks, springs, tower bars, etc. I know it's not performance, but they are good mods IMO.

well ill get the UDP, and if u didnt see i am getting my intake manifold, tb, cylinder head ported, some light bowl work, deck the head, deburr the pistons n rods (friend owns a machine shop so ill get a real good deal) but after the UDP what is there? Cams, cam gears, titanium valve springs, lifters & rockers but i think thats it (other than putting a turbo on, or stroking it to 2.2l)
