Hey guys, its been forever since i posted...but heres the problem

I think i have a valve problem, i hear a tapping...but it isnt constant
it is only above 2k rpm and its only if im pushing the gas....the car doesnt overhead, and no CEL or anything popped up
Im nervous as shit because i was actually planning on selling the car this week to a friend of mine. Any help will be much appreciated

It's not a valve problem. It sounds like either an exhaust leak or a bad lifter to me. What weight oil do you use?

im going to guess exhaust leak. lifter tick is pretty rare in our cars (from what i can tell).

its definatly not a valve problem.

i use 10w 30 mobil 1 or castrol syntec...never anything else

If it is an exhaust leak, where would it be coming from if the noise is under the hood?
