i just did the plastigauge on my engine...i used the green stuff...i did the test twice and im getting between .0020-.0030... i cant tell exactly what it is, but it might be towards the .003 side.... i know the clearance is supposed to be between .0008-.0024, but i think this is more like .0027-.003....i talked to my machine shop where i got the bearings, and he said they'll be fine, ill just have a little less oil pressure.... the only alternative is paying 300$ and getting the crank ground and undersized bearings.... will i be allright with my bearings and a little less oil pressure? i think ill be fine, and i know plastigauge isnt that accurate, so im tending to lead to that side unless someone has experience with something like this...thanks doug

It'll be inaccurate if you didn't torque the rod down, or the bedplate, depending on which set you're doing. From the clearances, sounds like you're talking about the mains. I think you'll be alright.

However, it only cost me $90 to get it ground I think (if you did decide to go that route)
Prices might be different in your area though.
