Tried searching, couldnt really find anything. I have a AEM CAI and I think its tired to retire the original filter. I was wondering what you guys think is some of the best filters for the intake? Kinda looking for something sounding powerful and loud if that means anything. Thanks.

I've always liked K&N, the new Accell blue filters should be good as well, and the green, whatever their name is.

it depends. Do you want a filter that flows better with open media? or do you want less flow but closed (Efficient) media? K&N has better flow, but they are really open media. So the question is how long do you want your engine to last. I personlly think the best is the paper media/element like the stock ones. That is the best efficient media IMO.

Please define efficient for me.

I define it as how well it flows and how small a particle it can filter. In which case an oiled gauze filter is better than a paper filter.

Stick with the big name brands and stay away from autozone $25 filters. I bought one for my short ram two years ago, and the top end of the filter collapsed and cracked. I definetly like the quality of my k&n that came with the turbo kit cause it's all shiny, and me like shiny emoji.

whatever you do, dont get the stupid filters autozone sells. i was forced to get one when the extension of my intake disappeared and that thing was such a bitch to get on the short ram part. k&n is supposed to be real good tho.

Glad to see you made it home man. No more tacky ass turbo guys who don't know shit about your car flaming you without provocation. Now it's your duty to continue to troll toonerz and direct unsuspecting no0bs here so that they might actually learn how to tune their cars and not be ghey imo. emoji

Filters smaller than 5 micron particles, it's used on Peugeot's formula cars, as well as the Green Machine.

Just read this:
