After messing around with it today, I decided to give it a try tonight. I got my car to normal temp, got my bottle pressure to ideal ~900+PSI. I got on it and juiced it. I turned N2O on in 3rd. After the adjustment today, my car didn't buck/backfire. I was pulling really good and hard in 3rd...Then it happened...
"POOWWWWWWW", it was a loud explosion and I saw a bright flash, like a camera, from the engine bay. It war really loud like a 30-30 gun shot. Next thing I noticed, my car was dead. No nothing, I was just gliding. I pulled over and opened my hood to see what happened... my intake piping was all fucked up. Like one of the metal clamp was torn up and my pipe was just hanging inside the engine bay and my filter was missing, only the rubber piece that's "supposed" to connect the filter to the pipe was there. I called one of my buddies to get me another filter and put it on. I tried starting my car several times but was really struggling. So I tried for the last time and gave it some gas, stepping on the pedal for a while, while turning the key and finally turned over.
The question is, I really don't know what happened. All I know is I saw a flash and heard a loud noise and my car died. I didn't see anything leaking or nothing. So, did I blow something? Like a head gasket or something? I'll do some compression check tomorrow, but I never had my car do that and just die on me. How and what happens if you blow out a head gasket? or whatever I did. What are some symptoms? I did drive home after my car started, at first I did some "white" smoke coming only on hard acceleration. (Which led me to head gasket idea) But that was only for the first min or two. After that, no smoke and my car sounded like normal and runs. Any input? TIA

are you running a wet or dry kit? if you are running a wet, sounds to me like you had fuel puddle in your intake and it backfired into the intake. its a problem with nitrous...esp wet kits because the mixture is not atomized properly and collects somewhere in the intake. ill bet you money thats what happened...iv heard of it before

I got a WOT swith, which allows it only use it when the butterfly on tb is wide open.
Either way, it scared the shit out of me and my filter blew off, lol. So when it backfired, how does it cause for my car to just die and made my car really hard to start? So you guys don't think it's headgasket or anything? Anything big? But strange thing is my car sounds like any other day and runs fine. (Ofcourse without N2O for now) Strange...

time for one of those kits from NOS that piggyback right ON the injector... at least the combustible gas will be right where it should be rather than... in your ricketty intake piping...
