Ok so my car is running fine for a while, but after i step on it and do some fun driving it gets a high idle. No CEL tho. so i pop the hood and the throttle plate and the stop screw is about 2-3mm. apart. I snap the throttle plate a couple times and it goes away, but now i have a CEL. What might cause this? I took off the TPS and reinstalled it, but after some driving the high idle comes back. It idles at 1700 when its really bad or 1200 sorta bad. Any advice would help. Thanks guys

number one, get some intake cleaner and clean the hell out of the tb, might even want to buy a new gasket and remove the tb to clean it well. Remove the sensors if you can, be very careful because they will break if you dont do it right. Next thing, your throttle cable might be sticking, only thing that comes to mind is wd40 and lithium grease, might want to spray a little on the line and hit the accelerator a few times to let it works its way down. Hope this helps you out.

Also check to make sure the butterfly is centered. I had a TB that the butterfly shifted on for some odd reason, and I thought I had bad sensors. I had another TB laying around so I just swapped them out. It turned out to be the throttle plate had shifted ever so sloghtly.

Lets just say this... I'm over 100whp and soon to cross 200whp. Thanx 2GNT! Now if I could only learn to prove it.
