#71443, "Anyone run an oil cooler? what oil filter adapter did u use?"
I bought a Flex-a-lite sandwich adapter to run an oil cooler and the adapter makes the oil filter stick down too low(it the lowest thing on the car). i was just wondering what everyone else uses. TIA

i bought the same thing and when i installed it i had the same problem so i returned it i was too lazy to figure it out and i put the money towards my turbo kit. if u search i know theres a write up with picts. but i know when i read it there was no mention of the filter hangin too low so i didn't know if i need a relocation kit or what which maybe the case.

I searched the forums and couldn't find much. it looks as if you have to relocate the oil filter but that is to much of a pain in the ass. i was hoping someone knew of some way to put on an oil cooler with relocating.

I used a sandwich adapter and noticed that the oil filter hung to low. So, I bought a shorter filter. I now use Purolator L10193. It was a generic Perma-Cool oil cooler kit for domestic V8's.
