Ok I previously had a HRC Stage 1 kit on my car, but its now removed. All that is left of the kit on the car is the Cartech FPR and Accell Inline pump. After I took the kit off I put my headers on, drove it to a shop open downpipe/throttle body, then drove it home and parked it for 3 weeks. Reason why is because I had trouble taking the oil feed line off and I had just plugged it and it was leaking. Today I got around to taking it off and capping off the T at the sending unit. Once I did that, I started it up, once again no intake, and it seemed to be fine. Fuel pressure was around 50-55psi at idle, then after about 30secs I could watch the RPM's slowly drop until it stutterd and died. Started it back up and just like before it did the same thing. Put my intake on, just to see if it would make a difference, no change. Once the rpm's start to drop I can tap the gas and they will go back up to normal, then after about 30seconds again it will start to stutter like before. Any idea's what this could be? I checked the vaccum lines where I had the boost gauge and BOV, both of them are secure and closed off. The car ran fine when I went to the exhaust shop and back. There are NO CEL's or warning lights. Any help would be greatly apprechiated, I'm kinda stumped because it just sort of popped out of nowhere. Could it be EGR related?

my car was doing the same thing, i had no CEL, it ended up being a gunked up throttle position sensor, i just pulled it off and cleaned it up real good with some brake cleaner, started up and purred like a kitty. so it could possibly be the TPS. i'd also lower your idle pressure to about 45-47psi at idle too.

edit: try this to see if its the TPS:

start it up and hold the gas pedal down a little to keep it at around 1500rpm's, if it stays on, its your TPS

i've heard the same symptoms and seen recommendations for a coolant temp sensor. might check that too

Is the car running rich at idle? If not, it is probably not the coolent sensor. When was the last time you changed your plugs?

Having a blown coolant temp sensor will cause you to run rich as shit. Trust me, I'm the guy that just went through that and I've never run as rich in my life....seriously, I was blowing out more black smoke and shit before I fixed that than you can imagine. I change my plugs and fouled them all within 50 miles because I was running so damn rich.

Could also be your FPR. Put your stock one back in.

Held the rpms at 2000 and it would surge down about 400rpms then back back up to 2000. After about 10mins of doing that I was able to let off the gas and it idled steady, at about 900-950rpms, and all seemed well. I went to work and let the car sit at home for about 7hrs, just got back in and tried it out and its doing the same thing again. No CEL's. It is running slightly rich, like I said fuel pressure is at about 50-55psi, but I dont think it would be causing this problem. Any ideas? It looks to be only acting up when its cold, and after about 20mins it seems to smoothe out. I was thinking maybe some moisture had gotten up in there in the TB because it had sat for 3weeks with no intake. I'm really stumped here on what else to look for. Plugs are NGK IridiumsIX with less then 15k on them. Does it sound like TPS?
