Okay. I never check my plug gaps when I put the new NGK's in. Sue Me. Anyways, I decided to pull them out today cause of a little sputter/misfire. They were all .44, shouldn't they be .60? I think thats what I read????? So I gapped them to .60. Now it's being a little wierd atill. What is correct? I don't wanna search. NooBs!...search!

hmmm, im havin the same problem with my car....when i give it gas or even when i floor it sputters, studders, pops and all that crap... i replaced the plugs with some Bosch (heard worst brand to buy) but oh well...yeah the day i instaleld them it ran fine, but the next day, the porblem even got worse... so i did some readin and the gap should be between .40 and .50 if im not mistaken....thats what ive read in the search forums.....but thats juss my 2 cents
90% of the misfire problems here can be solved with new plug wires. Get the Bosch at AutoZone for like $30 and a lifetime warranty. Should take care of it. If you've never changed them, now might be a good time. If they don't solve the problem, further investigation is required.
People seem to gap anywhere between .035 to .05 for our cars. I gap to the smaller range, b/c the gap expands over time. I gapped my previous set of plugs to .035. When I changed them later (when the car was stuttering) I remeasured them and gap increased to .05+. Last set of plugs I happed to .039

Soryr to bring this back from the dead. I hace msd 8.5mm wires & ngk plugs, waht should i gap the spark plugs to? looks like ~.50 seems to be the number

i have ngk wires and plugs(one range hotter) and i have them gapped to .042, it seems to give me the best idle, acceleration. But then again i have a weird hesitation problem that no one can solve so go figure
