I just rebuilt my motor and instaled a star stage 2 kit. I now have wisco 8:5:1 pistons now the car idles funny like the timing is off. also the CEL comes on and it gives me a timing code. The timing belt is on right but still get codes.

Maybe a stupid question, but are all your timing points lined up? Not just the cam gears but the crank as well? I'd check that first.

Wrong. Pull the belt and try again. There are plenty of ppl here that run low comp and idle fine. Your CEL doesn't lie to you...it's incapable of lying. Remember the old programming saying? Garbage in, garbage out. Same goes for cars.
