emoji I don't see the point in asking us when all I did was click the Howell banner up top (or actually going to the www.2gnt.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Sections&op=listarticles&secid=15 and finding their link there). Most vendors have a Contact page right on their home page. Whoop, 3 clicks and I found it, now you're talking to the authority (or better yet, the manufacturer).

Edit: My apologies for being an ass.

theres the link also, go there and read for yourself. Next time you ask a question like this, do the search yourself. It pisses people off on here when questions liek this are asked because the person is to lazy to click 5 times (starting on the home page, took about 6 secs) to find out what they want. I posted this ONLY to keep some of the other less patient members from ripping you a new one... which I'm sure will still happen.

Lesson of the day, DO YOUR OWN SEARCHNIG FIRST!!! then ask questions if you cant find what you are looking for.

oh and since you will probably ask, that price is without the forged crank, if you want the forged crank, you have to pay $700 more, its an option on the page.

No, you do not need another Motor unless you want to minimize down time...and that is the most Vague thing I've ever seen, how is someone suppose to be able to verify a website that isn't listed with a price that could be pulled out of someone's ass?

What is the site

the site is howell's and if you go the the bottom end section for our cars it says that their is a 2.2l stroker for 1200 but it really says nothing about it like it does about the 2.2l motor.

are you talking about this page:

http://www.howellautomotive.com/Howell/Store/catalog/catalog/default.php?cPath=142_38_192

?????????

i dont see anything for $1200 there, perhaps the were updating prices and made a typo that they later updated, or you just didnt look at it right (sometimes i do the same thing, lol).

i do have to side with you on one thing though: when you info on how a product performs, its best to go to people who have tried it out, not the manufacturer/distributer...as they have a slight conflict of intrest, lol. i kinda got the sense thats what you were meaning to say but communication over the internet doesnt always work too well.

edit: OHHH, i see, heres the link for what hes asking about:

http://www.howellautomotive.com/Howell/Store/catalog/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=142_38_84&products_id=1358

damn, id never pay 1200 bucks for a crank, lol...you can get the whole engine for only 1k more.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

wow, that's one expensive ass crankshaft, I wouldnt do that, just incase, also how can they balance the crank w/o internals installed? isnt that pointless? I dont know, maybe I would just rather have it balanced w/ my rods/pistons/clutch on there... peace

the crank by itself is 1200, if you buy the 2.2L stroker you can get it without the forged crank, which is around 2500 or so, of you can pay an extra 700 to get the forged crank. so for the 2.2L wihtout a forged crank, prics is aorund 2600, with the forged crank the price is around 3300. or if you want JUST the crank by itself (say you having a diff place build your engine) then its the 1200.
