Hey guys, I have had some bad luck. I rebuilt my engine (bottom end) b/c of a spun bearing (sucked b/c this engine is like 6 months old!< well I am a tard and didnt replace the headgasket, I reused my mls one.. yeah yeah I know now. anyways, I had a small knock/tick in my engine, soI dropped the oil pan while I had everything apart, and all my rods are fine, no movement at all, not even side movement.. I did find a bearing in the bottom of the pan (that I left in there oops) anyways, I put everything back together today and start her up.. no leak, no knock, but there is a small ticking noise well and my exhaust rattle.. I am pretty sure its not a rod bearing/main bearing (do main bearings even make a noise?) I think it is a lifter though, b/c when I was cleaning the bottom of my head, a lifter fell out,and I just put it back in there, didnt lube it or anything, it had some oil on it, but not that much, and it slide right back in w/ a lil' pressure, is there any way to tell what it is? I mean I searched and asked ?'s, but I know no actual way to tell w/o takin some stuff apart, and I dont really wanna do that again, so does anyone have any suggestions, like tests, oil additives, anything to help a brotha out? thanks peace..oh and Spam busta's beoch ~STV~
