Im gonna use some valves out of an ol spare head, and tehy are pretty gunky. So I was wondering if yall knew of an easy trick to cleaning them? Like soaking them in some OXYclean or something like that and just wipe off lol? ANy methods? 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS 10th Anniversary OZ Edition

If you have access and you are going to rebuild the head the best way is to glass bead them, but protect the stem. When you clean them no matter what method you use, make sure they go back into the same port they came out of. Valves wear in to the seat they are matched with, if you swap them around, or put them into another head, you HAVE TO do a valve job, or they wont seal properly. This is coming from a guy that worked in a machine shop for 3 years so trust me.
