#70194, "Does it really matter? Vacuum Ques?"

I was doing a search the other day on some information about vacuum lines and related info. I stumbled across an old thread that talked about the three-prong vacuum fitting on the back of intake manifold. Someone wrote and said the lines should be hooked up as follows:

Left - Stock FPR
Middle - Cruise Control
Right - EGR

I was under the impression that vacuum pressure is a constant and therefore I'm thinking it really doesn't matter what order they are. Am I missing something about this, or does it not matter? Nothing earth-shaking - I'm just curious.

First, you're right it doesn't matter. Second, none of the 3 items you mentioned were ever hooked up to those ports at all on my car, even when I bought it.

Thanks, I didn't think that it mattered.

And ... I hope you didn't buy your car from a dealership - that doesn't say a whole lot. Was your car throwing a code?
