There is a ticking noise coming from the right side of my valve cover (or somewhere around there) This noise does not go away when the car warms up, it is there all the time... so it cant be the lifters can it? The noise is not even that loud. What could it be?

my car always makes that noise. I'm 99% sure it's just the lifters. I had it before and after my cams were put in, but it's louder with the longer/higher lift cams... only difference is it sounds more like it's coming from the passengers side, but it may be both.

hahhahahaaha "this is where the noise is coming from... *picture of engine bay*" ... .LOL
its a common problem, its mentioned in an faq somewhere...Something about the lifters not retaining oil properly. Basically you can just swap them out for an updated set, but you don't really have to.
But now that you mention it... GET RID of that HKS SuperMegaFlow filter. Foam filters dont do jack shit. Get an Apex'i Power Intake instead.

why does everyone's upper radiator hose look bigger than mine? it looks like everyone has a bigger gap between their engine and the radiator.. I know this has nothing to do w/ this thread, but just curious.. I'd have to say lifters though on the problems, I know alot of people who have that noise. unless its a bearing beginning to spin

Actually, if you're talking about filtration quality, foam filters are BY FAR better than paper (e.g. K&N). They are much more dense, and filter smaller particles. They are, however, typically more restrictive.
