#69800, "cracked crankshaft ?"

When i went to Satan a couple years back they said i had a crack in my crankshaft.. i looked at the order form they wrote up for me and said i needed to replace my crankshaft pulley. Would this be the reason my power steering belt keeps ripping off? Is this the same as the underdrive pulley? Also, since im bout to get my timing belt and waterpump replaced, should i go on replacing the pulley w/ the AFX? Thanks guys..

First off your car is nice man.. I like it. If you had a crack in your crankshaft you must be puttin out atleast 700 hp ATLEAST. My guess is they said you had a cracked crank pulley, and yes it is the same as the udp and you should get the af/x crank pulley and corresponding belts for it. The crank pulley is mounted by a bolt and forced on (pressed/hammer) onto the crankshaft itself. If I were you, depending on how many miles you have, upgrade to a melling oil pump (its right under the crankpulley and harmonic dampener), water pump, timing tensioner and timing belt. If you do choose to get the af/x pulley you need to get a new altenator belt and powersteering belt, you can use the search button for the part numbers from howell or gator or someone. And if you hadnt guessed by now, Yes the crank pulley controls the powersteering/air conditioner belt and altenator belt. Hope this helps.. g'luck.. peace.......you know you could save alot of money and attempt it yourself if you wanna, its not that hard to do emoji later man

Yes.

From the post i am assuming they meant the crankshaft pulley and not the crankshaft itself?
