#69704, "Head problem fixed (leaking oil) but oil pressure is REALLY LOW" Mar-01-04 07:10 AM by Collente
Hey guys.
So my idle psi is around 20-25, then when it got warm it dropped to around 5psi. WTF?!? Its a brand new melling oil pump. Should I just give it some time to break in? I have the oil pressure line tapped with my turbo feed line. This wouldn't cause the low pressure would it?

If it were 5psi, the oil light would be on. If it's a 90* Autometer oil pressure gauge, it's more like 12-15psi where you think it's 5. How do i know? Mine did the same thing, and it has been perfectly fine for two years. (until i blew it up again).
Factory oil pressure spec is 12-15psi at idle hot, AFAIK.
