personally i think they're overkill unless you have an upgraded ignition unit too and you don't even need that unless you're turbo and need to retard you timing so i'd say stick with the 8.5mm's

Bigger wires look cool and that is about all they are worth. Our ignition system is pretty stout from the factory and not very high and the priority list for mods. In fact, the stock wires are more than enough for most everything you would need. They are made by NGK and are 7mm which is adequate. If you want new wires, remember that no matter what you buy it will be because it looks cool not because it helps The plug gaps are far more important. The only feasible situation I could ponder needing well insulated wires would be if you are running a competition stereo system and trying to eliminate EMI. BTW, I am using NGK blue wires on my car. That is 7mm with Stage IV on stock plugs gapped to .035.

Ya anything over 8.5mm is a total waste, i think. If you have money to just give out and blow away like that, then so be it. Otherwise, buy some 8mm wires and pass that extra $$$ ovah heah! I completely agree with Chris though....total waste unless u got MSD ignition or something like that...which few people get anyways for our cars....speaking of which...JOE, how's your MSD install going with your car? Put it in yet?

if youhave more wire for the electric to run through it wont be as powerful... example.. you have a 25 foot cable for tv compared to 50 foot the signal on the 25 will be better you will get better proformance in the 8.5 unless you get something that makes it stronger
