Is the engine pretty fucked like a 4g63 or is it not bad?
Thinking if it is bad I will change mine.

it dosent fuck the entire engine, you just bend valves in your head. either get a new head or replace the bent valves....no need for a new engine. and im thinking all DOHC heads get screwed up when the t-belt breaks

CHANGE AT 60,000 PER INSTRUCTIONS IN MANUAL.

Interference engine means if the timing belt snaps, the pistons make contact with the valves and bust the fuck out of them. FYI.

hell, my timing belt was changed and my head still got fucked... i think its just the nature of the beast. actually, mine was just the gasket but still.... fuckin dsm. im still riding around in "the loaner" probably till monday!

sorry, back on topic here. Just replace it man, it will be well worth it in the long run instead of kicking yourself in the nuts when you have to pay $1500 to get the timing belt and valves redone... man you could get a used stage 1 turbo kit for that much.
