I was driving may car yesterday and at a stop light i could here a whir kind of whine from under my car. I pulled over to check, i could not pinpoint it but it seams to be coming from the rear of the car under the pasenger side, but it was close to the fuel tank. It was really loud and sounded really bad. I turned the car off and let it sit for a little while. I start it back up and no more sound. I have not had any problems with fuel delivery and the engine seams strong like always. Today i would here the same sound evryonce in a while while driving to work. Anybody have any ideas what is causing this noise or anyone have a similar problem.

Hard to say without hearing it. Could have picked up some grit in the fuel pump and it was yelling at you. You will probably have to drive until it happens again and then try to pinpoint it.
