#69029, "Multiple exhaust questions"

I will be getting a GReddy Evo and GReddy header pretty soon and I have some questions. I searched the forums but with little sucess. Any help would be appreciated::-)

What do you guys recommend with the O2 sensors? I don't know if the exhaust and/or header come with bungs or not.
What kind of cooling measures should be taken? Heat wrap, aftermarket fans, etc?

They will have the bungs for the O2. You shouldnt need anytype of cooling system upgrades but heat wrap wouldnt hurt to help keep the underhood temps lower.

i wouldnt buy the greddy header... it doesnt make any real power gains... its just a re-tubed stock manifold design...

fast fabrications & afx are putting out long tube headers that are gonna make some actualy gains... my guess is 8-10 whp as compared to greddys 1-2

so ide just get the exhaust, and not waste an extra 400$

Sup..
I don't konw about Greddy Evo..I personally want to buy it 3 weeks ago, but I called greddy, and other places and they all said "it is back order" and some say "Greddy discontinued Evo and coming out a EVO II for GST"

That's what I heard from ExtremePSI, adventon, Greddy, etc.

So I think you should try to call first. and see if they have it back in stock.
I called 2 days ago, and they still say the same thing.

if I were you I'd wait till howell afx header. That's suppose to make some significant gains. Its just not worth getting one now and then end up replacing it.

Good Luck

Good advice. I think they have the EVO II out already for the 2GNT like 20 bucks more than the EVO I. I will check into the afx header.

i have the greddy evo exhaust...and it is absolutely amazing. it doesn't sound like most honda exhaust (a.k.a lawn mowers) it is a very deep loud sound. the gains are also good. i was looking at getting the greddy headers then changed my mind and now i am looking for headers with the most gain. anyone have any ideas??

~thankx~

don't the long tube headers just replace the cat. if that is the case then get a header and get a testpipe like i did. it very nice gains from my set-up. just my .02 cents.

I no longer have my 99 rs because i totaled it!!!

I have a Greddy header and I heat wrapped it. No noticeable performance gain below 4000 RPM. Above that I can tell a slight difference from stock. But every little bit helps.

E-mail me for pictures. jholifield2003@comcast.net

Keep them as spares. Or better yet pass them on to the next guy with wire problems. Glad to hear your car's running.
