#68818, "Who here has 3inch exhaust piping?"

I'm about to order an N1 GST cat back. I know it'll fit because someone mentioned how they got one for their car. I am force to do this because no muffler shop in the area would do custom 3 inch. THe closest one that would charges 900 bucks. So who else has a 3inch piping and did you get one meant for a GST also?

^^^ same here. GS and GS-T exhaust are identical from the catalytic convertor back, except the muffler.

mandrel bent 321 stainless 3.5" down pipe to a 3" cat-back... I made it myself. I'm 2.2l with a s20g, and for mild boost levels it may be a little bit of over kill, but I used a GST/GSX system from Buschur for mock-up.

2.2l with s20g and 3.5 downpipe with 3inch all the way back? I hope you have enough fuel and pushing at least 20psi. I think I'm gonna jump on the s20g band wagon this summer. I went to meneike and they said it's impossible to fit 3inch in there because of the control arm and spare tire well area. Not enough room to fit. I wanted to go with N1 system because it's only 260 off ebay. I'll have ert make me 3inch cat and Extreme make me 3inch dp and voila.

Most 3" systems go UNDER the rear end for that reason.
The only difference between NT and GST systems is piping size. You'll want to go with the GST exaust if you want the bigger piping.

I have 3" exhaust from the turbo back and goes over the rear section. Custom made mandrel pipe. Cost me $250 bux. If anyone would like the full setup, email me. I can have more made.

i have 3" piping that goes over the crossmember. its one of the ebay 3" gst catbacks. works fine. although it has one part where its not 3", little flattened out piece so it does not hit tire well, but its not enough to affect anything or the flow of the exhaust.

for $900, you could just about buy your own welding equiptment, mandrel bends, straight pipe, flex section, decent muffler, and fab it yourself, heh...

I have a 3'' down pipe that ends where the cat used to end (on the catback end), then it couples up to a 4'' straight back, w/ straight through muffler emoji

edit: and no, it's not "too" loud... until higher rpm's
