Forgive me since this is off the topic a bit but I am really serious about this and didn't know where else to post this. I have a 1986 Dodge Caravan with a serious weight reduction, no seats, no inside moldings, and more, we weighed it at the shop and it was like 2670LB. It has a mitsubishi 4 cylinder in it, do you think I could throw in a 420A engine and a new transmission and upgrade the suspension etc and turbocharge it with a HRC Stage V? Haha that would be so funny to go roast all the streetracers with a beat up junker minivan. Is it possible and what else do you thnk i would need to do so it doesn't fall all apart?

There are already turbocharged chrysler minivans. If you were serious you would probably have already known that and would have done that swap already. I would rather win street races with a nice car than a piece of shit. Do what you want but it will always be a pile of shit. Yes Im not being helpful because I could care less about minivans.

I agree mostly. It would be fun to mess with some street racers with a fast minivan, but I wouldn't spend alot of money doing it (certainly not stage V $$$). I think the novelty would wear off and then you would be mad for spending so much on a damn minivan. I would check out what you can do with the engine thats in there (or swap a used turbo engine in). Spend a couple bucks on making it faster than it looks...smoke some dudes in a civic...and hold onto your hard earned cash for mods on your own car.

trust me, "mean mini" is quite a sight at the drag strip, you wouldn't be knocking it if you saw it in action. It's the best sleeper you could get!

I got a race clip of a dude in a minivan SMOKING a newer Z28. I think it ran better than a 12.5 They didn't zoom in on the time after the race and the resolution isn't that great.
I got a ton of race clips (legal and illegal) I DL'd. Interested, AIM me. Ever see what the ass-end of an RX-7 looks like at takeoff of a 9.48?............

gotta love the 80's chrysler mindset, lots of turbo-d 4 bangers were kickin ass from this side of the planet.

Chrysler was doin the turbo 4 cylinder way before it became "cool" in JDM land
