I'm looking into buying a testpipe but I want it to look like a cat due to the fact that sometimes cops look under the car for a cat. I was thinking of buying the pipe then taking the heatshields off the cat and welding/ bolting it onto it. What do yall think? Alvin

If you are really worried about it, and you run stock size exhaust(cat back, downpipe),then just gut the cat. Take it off the car, get a good solid pipe, and just beat the all crap out of it. Its a mesh catalyst, and also a thin wire mesh inside of it. It takes a bit of time, and will make a pretty big mess. Then just put the hollowed out cat back on

Well I'm running a 2.5" exhaust with two 4" Greddy resonators ending with a APexi muffler (it was a custom one off my friend) and having to hollow out the cat would leave a big another change in diameter to slow the flow of the exhaust. Alvin
