How important is it to put a plug WITH silicone? what would it do if it didn't have it? would it leak a little and idle high or would a sensor be out of wack? (yes i said out of wack lol) Thanx for any help.

very important, and yes it will idle high and out of control. make sure you seal it real well. i used a cap just like metal jim used and used black silicone inside and out of that hole. if you use black slicone, let it dry for atleast 12 hrs to cure real well so it won't blow out. My TB don't leak and idles like stock.

Like he said, very important. I have a screwed up idle and am almost 100 percent certain it is because my seal wasnt the greatest there, so while i am doin y tune up this weekend, im gonna fix that as well.

Agree'd, that and make sure you have a nice think gasket material. I tried rubber gasket material and cork... I found the cork gasket better formed around the hole plug. If you have the tools and the time, it might be worth tapping the hole and putting a bolt in it then cutting the bolts head off, thats what I would do if i had the time and tools.

For me (ATX) i got a gain all round, I ran into some funky problems with TPS and IAC but once i got that figured out im happy with it. For the price you paid for the Junk Yard Throttle and a bit of elbow grease, it was worth more to me then shelling out for the modern performance TB.

Most gains up high, but gains all through the RPMS
