#67331, "I need exhaust help, anyone heard of Primus?"

Hey, my buddy has a ford probe, and he bought a primus exhaust for it, it sounds really cool on his car, and now his car broke down so hes gonna sell it and buy something else. I was wondering if maybe I could put it on my car, and I think I cant, but I was wondering if anyone on here has had any dealings with Primus, if so let me know good or bad. Thanks, Sean

the muffler will prolly work fine...If ur exhaust is stock it's 2.25" from the mani. If the exhaust from the probe is the same, i don't see why it wouldn't work...Of course you'll need to test fit it and see how the hangers are gonna go. Also is the muffler a side in in stright in.....the inlet I mean. Our stock mufflers and side in...the hole is on the side...not in the middle........Anyways, if it's a straight in style you'll have to heat up and bnd ur existing pipe so that it fits.......sorry so long....

You could also take it to a muffler shop and have them make some mandrel-bent tubing. It would probably run about $45 for the install/tubing.

Primus is quite nice. Those are used a lot by German car tuners. Like others mentioned, just take it to a muffler shop and see if they'll modify the rear section for you.

Sean’s got himself a big brown muffler
And he shows it off to all his friends.
One day, you know, that 2GNT tried to leave him,
So he caged him up with a cyclone fence.

Along came lou with the old baboon
And said recognize that smell?
Smells like seven layers,
That engine eats taco bell.

Now rex he had a Probe out of new orleans
And he travelled with the carnival shows.
He ran bumper cars, sucked cheap cigars
And he candied up his nose.

He got wind of the big brown muffler
So he though he’d take himself a peek,
But the muffler was quick
And grabbed him by the kiwis.
Now he ain’t pissed for a week.

Now Sean took his big brown muffler,
And he stuck it up in the air.
Said I sure do love this big brown muffler
And I wish I did have a pair.

Now the muffler once slept for seven days
And it gave us all an awful fright.
So I tickled his chin and I gave him a pinch
And the bastard tried to bite me.

Sean loved his big brown muffler
And he stroked it all the time.
He scraped his muffler one day and it
Occurred to him he might need to get realigned.

Singin wooooooooo awoo whoo woooooooo

Remus = Ferrari? Or some type of exotic. My friend almost got 2 3" remus mufflers for his VR4. $225 each + shipping.

It will sound different on our car.
Different car, different exhaust note.
It might not be worth the trouble of cutting it off the exhaust piping of the Probe and to have it welded onto a new pipe setup.

You can get one of these for cheap (one that comes with a silencer) and have a pipe welded onto a flange from the cat to the rear. The removable silencer will definitely help you out.

This is only a suggestion. Good luck which ever way you decide to go.
