i looked at the CEL's earlier, and it spit out these 6 codes. i have read the code list on the site, but don't understand how to go about fixing all these problems. ;/ does anyone know what parts could be causing the ecu to spit the codes? any help is appreciated tia

Thats a lot of CELs, lets see how I can help:
12: Ignore because its nothing but a warning about disc. ure battery

36: A recall that happened in the 95s, heres a link to explain it better, but Im pretty sure only the dealer can fix it... (http://www.2gnt.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Sections&op=viewarticle&artid=9)

11: Prob. occured because u just did ure timing belt, right? If u have the PO code it would help only because CEL 11 relates to 3 main different things- timing, crankshaft position sensor (back of block towards the firewall, check to see if the sensor is plugged in), or camshaft position sensor (only right side of block directly next to valve cover, check to see if its plugged in... Im pretty sure ure car wont idle though if its ure crankshaft\camshaft sensor, so ure timing belt prob. skipped a toth...

32: EGR related, either ure EGR is missing, clogged or broken...

25: IAS motor, located at ure TB... Pull it out and give yourself a throttle body service (clean the tb real good with carb cleaner)

Ok, hope that helps a little, and if none of them clear just unplugged ure battery for 15 and see if they come back...

i'd say that it is more than just the PCM that is bad. looks like an EGR problem, and an IAC problem too. i am not sure how you should deal with your 36 code though: "Pulsed secondary air injection solenoid circuit ."

i say you replace the ecu first, then see if it spits out the other codes. if not, GREAT! emoji if it does, then you just have to deal with it...

bobin' and weavin' in traffic. No other place i'd rather be emoji.

i would say ecu=probly not gone. just cuz an ecu spits out a crapload of codes doesnt mean the ecu is toast. that is the implication i get from some of the posts above. i say check the stuff it says is broken, if it is fine, reset your batt or go to an autozone and see if they will nuke the codes, give it a few days and you will see if they come back. needless to say, the cel was made for a reason, something is probly not working like it is supposed to(or "designed" to). i think we all just figure that the cel is a worthless bulb and a battery drain because we all are used to having them. emoji

A lot of the codes are sorta related. And yes, I own all when it comes to CELS:

12
31 vac leak
31
31 (yes I have it 3 times)
22 coolant temp voltage too low
25 target idle not reached
42 MPI fuel relay
43 misfire (I think I actually have this one 2x too)
55

If you have a vac leak in the right place, it can cause the idle to be off and give you the 25. Maybe the vac leak is small enough to affect idle, but not to trip a 31? I even got a code one day for the speedometer not working, when it really was. My ECU is fine. It's the engine it's connected to that's fucked up. :p I think CELs grow exponentially. The car is a complete system in itself. It's all connected one way or another and some things could affect others. emoji

i had a cel once, when i hadnt started the car for like 2 months, i have a feeling it was injector related or so because the car had some crazy stuttering and idle surge for a min or two. oh well, it went away. emoji
