Hey guys, I bought a '96 GS for $300 (yes, three hundred). The Paint and interior are PERFECT!, but it needs a new windshield, and it has no hood. I'm going to put a cf hood on it, and windshields are easy to come by. The only other thing it's missing is the motor and transmission . So first, does anyone know of anybody who's selling a COMPLETE (and I mean, like, alternator, waterpump, all that crap) 420A w/ 5 speed transmission? My other question is: What do I need to do to be able to use the AFX ecu? Does the motor need to be out a '97 or what? I'm not sure what a '97 had that the other years didn't that allowed it to use this ECU. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you would need the entire wiring harness out of the 97 to make the ECU work, but I've also heard some people changing the pin outs or something like that on the main connector to the ECU to make it work. Good luck.

My plans are mild for this car. I'm just going to gasket match the head on both sides, p&p the factory intake and exhaust manifolds, probably put in some crane 012's with upgraded valvesprings and retainers and let that be it for the motor other than the short ram intake and exhaust. Oh, and I'm going to put a Walbro 190lph on it and spray about 100hp. This is going to be the car that I drive to work everyday, so I'm not worried about making it crazy fast, I have the GS-T for that. I just want it to be able to get out of it's own way.
