for those of you with the screamin demon coilpack, did you use the recommended .065" spark plug gap? because that seems fricken huge when the stock gap is like .035" or something..

i don't have the screamin demon, but the stock NA gap should be ~.050

Stock gap is .050", gap when running the screamin demon is .065" as stated by the info sheet that comes with it.

If you run it with a turbo I'd say gap it around .045", but if you want an exact amount I would call Howell.

The reason your suppose to gap it more is obtain the benefit of a higher powered coil. More voltage = stronger spark = bigger flame kernel (more gas initially ignited) if you gap the plug further (which your now able to do w/ more voltage, since the plug won't run as hot).

I run the gap on our cars at .035. I know what Screamin Demon says, and I have customers that run the at .065 without any problems.
