I am a newbie but here is what i got....a 96 gs 130,000 miles
and his morning when i went out side to run down the road my
car would idel fine but when i give it gas and let off it
would die (thought ok it is cold) so i pulled out the drive
way and start going down the road push the cluth in and then
it dies again doesn't do it every time but when it doesn't i
am running about 800 rms or lower confused don't know what to
do...also i have just replaced the lutches with the stock ones
you get from the parts ghouse for about 280.00 and just
replaced the alternator belt as well.......need help badly.

Is your check engine light on? It sounds like your Map, Cam or crank sensor has gone out.

Check the harness at the cam angle sensor for damage or frayed wires. Also check the harness that leads to the throttle body to make sure it isn't melting onto the EGR pipe.

Does it completely die, or is it just not catching idle?

i found the problem there was some gunk going from intake going to the t/b......thanks for the help
