Is there a way to test the IAC to make sure it is working properly?...I can't find one in my Chilton's anywhere (maybe I just overlooked it)...thanx for the help!

BTW: It's for a CEL 25 if you were wondering...

Per the service manual:

1. Disconnect the the IAC connector. Pins: |1|2|3|4|

2. Measure the resistance between terminal 1 & 4 of the connector at the IAC side. Stand value: 38-52 ohm (at 68* F).

3. Measure the resistance between terminal 2&3. Standard value: 28-52 ohm.

Oops, typo--> resistance between 2&3 should also be 38-52 ohms.

i know that this is a super old post

but i found it while searching for iac testing and didnt want to start a new thread to ask

my 1&4 pins read 54 ohms
2&3 read 52.1

is this iac still good or should i scrap it

I would say that's within tolerance, more than likely your multimeter is a bit out of calibration and/or the connection you had with the tip of your probe wasn't perfectly solid emoji. If it was over 70 I would start worrying, but being that close I wouldn't think it a problem.
