Most pocket porting jobs give very good results when less than 5 cc's of metal is removed. More than that, you need a flow bench to see if what you're doing is helping or hurting.

It's as much of an art as it is a science. Shaping and polishing the ports. Do a gasket match and work from there. Just get the intake manifold ported and polished as well.

Our ported heads even get different work depending on NA or turbo. Just a little trick or two to help the two flow different depending on the situation.

I agree. Porting for a turbo application would be much different than porting for a naturally aspirated application. It also depends on how fast you intend to go on the head, as an extensive port job will do wonders for the top end, and you'll be wondering what happened to your bottom end.

I wouldn't take more than several mm of material off, any more and you're probably not going to accomplish much. As you already know, a a flowbench is critical to this type of work.

Sweet! Are you Denver also?
What was his turn around like. I am going to call them when I get my MP throttle body and see if they can do some work on my intake mani and match it up to the MP.
