i have a 96, im trying to put on a screamin demon coil, i have the 97+ coil plug but the wires are different.... what goes where?
the stock 96 wires are brown, black with red stripe, and black with blue stripe

the 97 plugs wires are orange, black, and grey with orange stripe

help please i dont know where to start

You might take a look in the Chiltons to see the wire specs. I would guess one is power, one ground, and one signal. If I were you, I might try just cutting the stock wires and soldering the new plug wires to the same locations. That's kinda ghetto though, so don't do it unless someone who knows wtf they're talking about says to do it. emoji

it turns out you were right... lol about the location anyhow, however for the pins... 1 was trigger for cylinders 1+4, another for 2+3, and the third was constant power lol

Yup, looking at the oem connector:
pin 1 = cyl 1&2, pin 2 = +12V, pin 3 = cyl 1&4
