Well my car runs like shit. I just installed a MSD DIS-2 and the bastard wont rev past 5 grand, and i get a check engine light even though i have thier adabpter. I called them and they said to return it and get a new one. So thats in the works i put the bypass plug in and unhook the the adapter and the car runs like total ass. It was runing like this with the ignition too. Could someone please tell me what i am wiring wrond and tell me how you wired yours.

Factory Side MSD Side

FROM Harness BROWN = 2 Red Wires
Black/W Red = Green Wire
Black/W Blue = White Wire


From Coil BROWN = 2 Brwon/W Orange Wires
Black/W Red = Brown Green
Black/W Blue = Brown White


Please Help. I need my car to drive to work everyday. When the new MSD Comes in im going to put new MSD Wires(replacing my Magnacore 10mm, New NGK Plugs. Please Help.Did the MSD Fuck up my car some how. With teh bypass plug in. The car should run fine. I dont get it. Help

i can help you out when i get home in a couple hours....but id say double check your wires....and then check the settings on the msd....the manual gives you a place to start with the msd settings...

I double and triple check my Switches thier all where they should be. I dont get it. The car was runing fine with the way it was wired as long as SW1 S1 was on. Which sets all the limits insanly high. Now that i put the bypass plug in the car runs like crap. I cant wait till you get home. Thanks so much,

That sounds right. What model number is the dis-2? Are you using a tach adapter? If so what model number is it?

Yes i have the tach adapter. Which got me woried in the first place cuz i still got a check engine light. By model number do you mean part number cuz is the 6211. Just the regular one not the hi output.

Ok i got the codes pulled and it says i have a bad coil pack. I have a MSD Coil Pack. So i pluged my stock one it and it still runs like crap. I called the msd Teck Line and they said it has to do with the wiring. So i need to know how exactly other people wired thiers to a tee to find out what im doing wrong or what is wrong. DAMIT I CANT EVEN DRIVE MY CAR. I hate this. So i had the MSD BY Passed and the stock coil and still runs like ass.

I cut the wires really close to the coil pack does that make a difference. I used regular But Conectors. Im just trying to find whats wrong this makes no sense. But Hopefully Lickscissors can help me out when he gets home

ok....this is what i have...i just looked at my car

(valve cover)
coil wires from coil harness - wires from msd

black/red - black/(red)<---i think it was red
black/blue - black/white
brown - black/green

then......

coil wires from harness - wires from msd

black/red - two red wires
black/blue - white
brown - green

as for the tach adapter....i thought the instructions explained that pretty well.... and it was hard for me to get to...i hope that makes sense....the first set is from the coil harness from the valve cover
