#6600, "Warranty Question"

Not for me, but for my girl's brother,
He has a 2000 Civic Ex, With a Greddy Turbo Kit on there (or at least had)and 2 wks ago his engine just stopped working in the middle of the freeway. It just shut off, Check Engine light came on, and died, We pushed it over and got it towed to his house, Popped open the hood and it was fine, No smoke or Oil, Next we returned everything to stock on his car, I mean everything, Turbo kit off, altezza's, rims, body kit, and took it to the local honda dealership. Well turns out he bent 3 rods, and the honda tech said that it was because he sucked up some water, and that his 3 year 36000 mile warranty won't cover it, Is this Bull?? Thanks guys

BTW he was running a Greddy Stage 2 at 6psi, never above that, or so he says

Well if you ask me he bent the rods by boostin and runing the car hard. So it sounds like the tech guy is trying to make up a sorry explination as to why it happend. The guy probably knows this car was not stock, I just blew my engine and I took off everything too, even my bodykit. They still knew that I had aftermarket parts on the car. Even if the car was stock they don't cover water damage. Looks like you buddy might be fucked here. I almost got fucked just tell him to keep complaining thats what I did and I ended up getting everything fixed under warranty, just got my baby back today.
